Sasak Culture & Tetebatu

Trade the beaches for a day inland, where Lombok’s Sasak culture and cooler highland scenery come together. We pick you up at your Kuta hotel or villa and return you there in the evening. You’ll visit a traditional village to see local life and craft — handweaving and pottery are part of the island’s heritage — then climb to Tetebatu, a peaceful village wrapped in green rice terraces on the southern flanks of Mount Rinjani.

It’s a gentle, curiosity-led day for travellers who like meeting people and seeing how things are made, with a short terrace or waterfall walk to stretch your legs. The higher elevation makes for a welcome break from the coastal heat.

The day is a fixed price, agreed on WhatsApp before you travel, and includes a private air-conditioned car, fuel, your English-speaking driver and pickup at your Kuta hotel. Village donations or craft purchases, food and activities are extra.
