Secret Gilis: Nanggu, Sudak & Kedis

Skip the busy Gili Trawangan, Meno and Air, and head instead to the quiet south-west Gilis off Sekotong. Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak and Gili Kedis are a cluster of small islands ringed by white sand and clear turquoise water, with easy snorkelling straight off the beach and a calm, far-from-the-crowds feel that the famous Gilis lost long ago.

Rizal picks you up at your Kuta hotel or villa and drives you to the Sekotong launch point — roughly a ~1.5–2 hour drive each way through the south-west hills. From there a local boat is arranged for the island hop, so you can swim, snorkel and laze on the sand at your own pace before the drive back to Kuta in the evening.

It’s a relaxed day for travellers who’d rather have a quiet beach than a party island — couples, families and anyone who loves clear water and snorkelling. Bring sunscreen, a towel and a snorkel mask if you have one.

The day is a fixed price, agreed on WhatsApp before you travel, and includes a private air-conditioned car, fuel, your English-speaking driver and pickup at your Kuta hotel. The local boat for the island hop, any entrance fees, food and activities are extra.
